Russell, a senior on the men’s cross country team from Cullman, Ala., ran the 5th fastest 8-kilometer time in SHC men’s history on Saturday at the Jacksonville State University Foothills Invitational with a mark of 27:00.09. Russell currently holds three of Badgers’ Top 15 times in the 8-kilometer distance including the best time in school history set last year in 26.42.99 at the Southern States Athletic Conference Championships in Clinton, Miss.
