Chad LeBlanc joined the Badgers in June 2015 as Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Affairs and Compliance with responsibility for the school’s NCAA compliance procedures after a successful two-year stint as a legal consultant with expertise in assessing and interpreting the potential impact of current NCAA marketing, legal and compliance issues. He was awarded the Spring Hill College Extra Mile Award in 2023. In January 2021, he was promoted to Deputy Athletic Director. LeBlanc also served as interim Athletic Director for the Badgers from November 2018 through May 2019. Prior to his work as a consultant, LeBlanc served as the Director of Compliance and Legal Externs at the University of Tennessee.

LeBlanc began his career as a Compliance Assistant at Central Michigan University before spending the next five years as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at the University of North Texas. He holds a Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Communications Arts from the University of Wisconsin. He was admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 2005 and served as an editorial staff member of the Marquette Sports Law Review in 2003-2004.
