Originally from Birmingham, Ala., Estell joined the Badgers in August 2018 after three seasons as a student manager with the Troy University men's basketball team (2015-18) where his Men of Troy won the Sun Belt Conference crown in 2016-17, earning an NCAA Championship Tournament berth before eventually falling to Duke University. He played two seasons of junior college basketball at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (2014-15). In high school, Estell won back-to-back Alabama State Basketball Championships at Wenonah High School in 2011 and 2012.
