MONTEVALLO, Ala. -- The Spring Hill College cross country teams competed Friday evening at the University of Montevallo Falcon Classic, with two Badgers competing individually in the women's 5K before the men's team placed fifth in the 8K.

Kerrigan Klevanosky led Spring Hill's women's contingent, finishing 72nd overall in the 5K with a time of 23:18.6. Alexa Manuel followed in 76th at 23:47.9. With two runners competing, Spring Hill did not record a team score in the women's race.

Ian Brown once again led the men's squad, finishing 11th overall in the 8K with a time of 26:39.3. Larrson Calhoun followed in 27th at 28:07.9, while Charles Blackwell finished 32nd in 28:17.2.

Luke Burlison crossed in 62nd at 30:14.0, with Erik Lindmark rounding out Spring Hill's scoring five in 68th at 30:49.8. Teotl Heredia finished 86th in 32:57.2, followed by Tripp Campbell in 87th at 32:58.4.

The Badgers finished fifth as a team with 172 points, tying Southern Union State but taking fifth place based on the tiebreaker. Troy won the team competition with 40 points, followed by Valdosta State with 47, Tuskegee with 62 and host Montevallo with 101.

Spring Hill will return to action Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Nicholls State XC Invitational in Thibodaux, La.
