SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Spring Hill women's basketball team closed out a road trip with a win over Savannah State, doing so with a final score of 62-55. Jenice Adjesson led all scorers with 17 points, while
Allison Irby added a double-double in the victory.
The Badgers improve to 6-15 on the season, spoiling Homecoming for Savannah State, who falls to 7-13.

Savannah State controlled the opening tip and scored first, but Spring Hill stormed back with a 15-4 run. The Tigers turned in their best stretch of the day in the second quarter, outscoring their guests 17-11, but the Badgers were able to carry a one-point advantage into the locker room at the half.
The two teams went back and forth in the third quarter, but Spring Hill was able to pull away late in the fourth. Madison Spychalksi's layup with 7:45 left in the game broke a 45-45 tie, and the Badgers maintained a lead for the duration of the game.
Notes and Numbers:
- Adjesson's 17 points were good enough to lead all scorers once again, while Irby and Spychalski each came away with 11.
- Irby collected a season-high 10 boards on the day, rounding out her first double-double of the year.
- Spring Hill outrebounded Savannah State 43-42 while also winning the turnover battle by a margin of 19-14.
- The win snaps a seven-game skid for the Badgers, their longest of the year.
