MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College men's basketball team battled with the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers, and the Badgers pulled off a huge win over the Golden Tigers in a 78-73 victory on Wednesday night in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.
Spring Hill improved to 3-20 overall and 3-16 in the SIAC, while Tuskegee fell to 17-5 overall and 16-4 in the conference.

The opening half featured nine ties or lead changes in a competitive endeavor. The largest lead early was in favor of Tuskegee. The Golden Tigers went ahead 18-13 following a layup from Noah Goines with 11:43 on the clock.
However, the Badgers battled back from the deficit on several occasions to pull within one, and eventually took the lead.
Brian Harris hit a three-pointer to reach 10 first-half points with 54 seconds on the clock, giving SHC a 34-33 advantage. Tuskegee responded on the next possession to reclaim the lead and worked to a 37-34 tally going to the locker room.
The Golden Tigers opened a seven-point, 45-39 lead with 16:31 left in the contest, and maintained a consistent lead until the Badgers tied the game 52-52 with 12:47 left off a three from
Collin Coates. Coates later hit another three-pointer to give Spring Hill a 63-60 lead with 8:54 remaining.
Six more ties or lead changes occurred in the final eight minutes of action. A key moment came when
Alvin Cole hit a pair of free throws, going up 75-71 with 38 seconds left. From there, the contest became a battle of free throws until
Amaan Sanni hit the final shot from the stripe of the night. The free throw moved the score to 78-73, the largest lead of the night for Spring Hill, and the Badgers collected the home win.
Notes and Numbers:
- Brian Harris led a quartet of Badgers in scoring with 23 points. He added four assists, three steals, and two rebounds.
- Rocco Lamuno posted 16 points, seven assists, and four rebounds; Alvin Cole had 14 points, five rebounds, and a steal; and Collin Coates finished with 11 points, four assists, and four rebounds.
- Ruben Bos ruled the boards with 11 rebounds and added eight points and an assist.
- The Badgers finished 45.1 percent (23-of-51) from the floor, 50 percent (15-of-30) from three, and 81 percent (17-of-21) from the free throw line.
- With 15 three-pointers, SHC set a new season high from beyond the arc. The previous high of 13 most recently came against Alabama-Huntsville on Nov. 15, 2025.
