ATLANTA — Spring Hill College freshman Ian Brown has been named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Brown, a Fairhope, Alabama, native, earned the honor after leading the Badgers at the eighth annual Nicholls XC Invitational. He finished fifth overall in the men's 6.437-kilometer race with a time of 21:22.7, pacing a field of 47 runners.

Brown was the top finisher for Spring Hill, finishing just behind four Jackson State runners who claimed the top four spots. His performance helped the Badgers finish fourth among six teams with 89 points.

The weekly honor recognizes Brown's strong performance as Spring Hill continues its 2026 cross country season.
