CLINTON, Miss.- The Spring Hill College softball team dropped both games in Tuesday's doubleheader against Mississippi College at the MC Softball Complex.
 
Mississippi College 9, Spring Hill 1 (5 Inn.)
AK Willingham (W: 1-1); Leighanna Turk (L: 6-6)
 
Spring Hill (20-16, 16-3 SIAC) faced off against a tough Mississippi College (29-11, 17-7 GSC) team. 
 
Taylor Pittman gave the Badgers an early lead with an RBI single in the first, but the Lady Choctaws responded with an eight-run inning in the second to reclaim the lead.
 
Bethany Ahrens had a perfect 2-for-2 outing, reaching base for the fifth game in a row. Rycca Hinton also recorded a double, bringing her season total to six.
 
Leighanna Turk (6-6) opened the game for the Badgers, before Lauren Glass finished out the game, allowing only four hits.  
 
Mississippi College 10, Spring Hill 2 (6 Inn.)
Brookelyn Cannon (W: 4-4); Emma Curry (L: 7-5)
 
In the second game, the Lady Choctaws had another hot start, taking a 4-2 lead at the end of the first inning.
 
Natalee Curry put the Badgers on the board with an RBI single. Following her, Amanda Glowacki drew her 10th walk of the season with the bases loaded, allowing another run to cross the plate.
 
Pittman led the team going 2-for-3, marking her sixth multi-hit performance of the season.
 
Emma Curry (7-5) started the game, pitching 3.2 innings, and Glass once again came in for relief to finish out the doubleheader.
