GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Spring Hill College beach volleyball team split day two at the AVCA Small College Beach Championship. The Sandy Badgers swept Carson-Newman, 3-0, before falling 3-1 to Palm Beach Atlantic.
 
The Sandy Badgers started strong against the Eagles, but were unable to keep to momentum going against the Sailfish.
 
Spring Hill will begin play in the gold bracket Saturday against Texas A&M – Kingsville at 8:40 a.m. CT. SHC is 1-1 on the season against the Javelinas.
