Sandy Badgers Named AVCA Championship No. 6 Seed
GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Spring Hill College beach volleyball team was named the No. 6 seed in the 2025 AVCA Small College Beach Championships. The tournament is set to take place April 17-19 on the beaches of Gulf Shores.
Spring Hill was awarded the No. 6 seed after finishing the season with a 12-13 record. The Sandy Badgers notched notable wins over Division-I foes McNeese State, Southeastern, New Orleans and Texas A&M - Kingsville.
This marks the seventh-straight AVCA tournament appearance for SHC. Last season, the Sandy Badgers took first place in the bronze bracket.
SHC will begin its postseason run in pool play against No. 18-seeded McKendree Bearcats at 9:05 a.m. CT. Another match against No. 7 Saint Leo will follow at 3:35 p.m. CT.
