ATLANTA - The Spring Hill College track and field team traveled to compete in Emory's Spring Break Classic.

On the men's side, freshman
Landon Laphand ran a 400-meter best with a time of 49.36, earning him 11
th out of a field of 89 competitors.
Theo Hubbard finished 12
th in the 110 hurdles out of 45 competitors with a time of 15.52. Â

On the women's side,
Tiana Smith finished fourth in triple jump with a distance of 11.50m.
JaTerralyn Hamilton set personal records in both the 100m and 200m, earning 12
th out of 80 in the 100m and 26
th out of 121 in the 200m.

"We continue to make great progress every time we compete. Friday and Saturday in AtlantaÂ
were great days for us," said head coach
Craig McVey. "Friday, there was a chill that never went away as the day went on but, we got a lot done. Saturday, there was enough wind to affect field events and oval races but, we still had a number of personal bests split between both days."

Spring Hill will prepare for the Southern Miss Invite, scheduled for March 28-29.
