FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Spring Hill College men's basketball team dropped Monday's road conference contest, 105-95, to Kentucky State at the William Exum HPER Center.

The Badgers (8-15, 6-12 SIAC) started with a 52-46 lead over the Thorobreds (12-10, 9-8 SIAC) at halftime. Spring Hill's run in the first half was highlighted by 58 percent shooting from the floor and 61 percent accuracy from distance.

Kentucky State mustered a comeback effort and took the lead with just under 14 minutes to go. Despite SHC's efforts, the Thorobreds never turned the lead back over and emerged victorious.

Walter Peggs Jr. led the game with 38 points and 12-of-13 shooting at the line. He also led the Badgers with eight rebounds.

Steven Lyles had 22 points behind four 3-pointers and eight total baskets.
Timothy Reilly tallied 15 points and seven rebounds.
