They Said It
Head Coach Craig Kennedy
On the weekend at the crossover
"These are two quality opponents (Auburn Montgomery and UWF). We had good success against them in the past, but we've got a completely different roster. Yesterday was tough, I was disappointed how we played in the second half versus AUM. They really took it to us, and today West Florida took it to us early, but I was so proud of our guys the way they fought back. Collin Coates and Rocco Lamuno have done a great job being leaders on the floor and in the locker room. I was really pleased the way we came back (versus UWF), scored 51 points in the second half. Guys are just learning how to play at this level. The incredible thing is our free-throw shooting, we've gone two days where we've shot 100 percent from the floor. We were 91 percent as of yesterday and then we went 100 percent today, so I think that puts us about 95 percent from the free throw line. So, really pleased with how we played. Guys just getting to know each other and I'm really excited for the future with this team."
