MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College Department of Athletics will recognize the 1974-75 men's basketball team at the SHC Hall of Fame Ceremony on October 16 Byrne Memorial Hall.
The 1974–75 Spring Hill men's basketball team delivered one of the most remarkable seasons in program history, capturing the Southern States Conference Championship with a 12–2 record and setting 16 school records along the way.
The Badgers posted a 20–7 mark — setting school records for most wins, fewest losses, and the best winning percentage (.741) in a single season. The team also secured the program's first back-to-back winning seasons in more than 20 years and advanced to the NAIA District Playoff semifinals.
Anthony Anderson was named the Mobile Press Register College Basketball Player of the Year, while Anderson, Jim Rebarchak, Tony Bivens, and John King each earned All-Conference honors. Head Coach Frank Kerns was recognized as the Southern States Conference Coach of the Year, guiding a team that set a new standard for excellence on the Hill.
