BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Spring Hill College women's basketball team suffered a 68-51 loss on the road against in-state Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe Miles on Monday at Knox-Windham Gym.

The Badgers (6-13, 5-8 SIAC) started strong, shooting 40 percent from the floor and 41 percent from distance in the first half. Spring Hill held the lead through halftime, but was overcome by the Golden Bears (12-4, 10-3 SIAC) after coming out of the break.

Marta Duda led the game in scoring with 13 points behind four baskets and a perfect (4-4) night at the free throw line.
Claudia Garrido narrowly missed a double-double with 10 points and a game-leading nine rebounds.
