MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College men's basketball team fell 89-86 in overtime to LeMoyne-Owen at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Monday.

The Badgers (5-10, 3-6 SIAC) started strong with 50 percent shooting from the floor, 42 percent from beyond the arc and 100 percent from the free throw line in the first half. Spring Hill took a 40-39 lead into halftime on a half-court buzzer-beater by
Steven Lyles.

Spring Hill continued shooting 50 percent and improved to 63 percent from 3-point range in the second half. The Magicians (3-12, 3-6 SIAC) won the battle in the overtime period, shooting 37 percent to SHC's 28 percent. LeMoyne-Owen outlasted Spring Hill and won 89-86 in extra time.

Walter Peggs Jr. led all scorers with 33 points, 10 baskets and eight 3-pointers.
Steven Lyles and
Eli Lenihan led the Badgers with eight rebounds apiece. Lenihan also led with a career-high nine assists.

Bo Barber and
Timothy Reilly all recorded double-digit figures. The game marked the second-straight with at least three in double-digits.
