MOBILE, Ala. – Hanna Lythberg has stepped down from her position as head coach of the Spring Hill College softball team to become the director of the University of Kansas's K Club.

Lythberg led Badger softball to its second SIAC championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in program history last season.

"We knew Hanna was upwardly mobile in athletics. Her skill set was going to open doors and the opportunity at Kansas is too good to pass up," Athletic Director Joe Niland said. "We wish her the best!"

In 2023, Lythberg led SHC to a 22-0 record in SIAC play, the fourth perfect conference finish in team history.

Under Lythberg's leadership, the program produced 10 all-conference selections, including back-to-back honoree Emma Curry. The team also saw a pair of all-region awards under her direction.
