Hall of Fame Highlight: Dr. Peggy Martin
MOBILE, Ala. – Spring Hill College volleyball head coach Dr.
Peggy Martin will be inducted into the Spring Hill College Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. in Byrne Memorial Hall.

The winningest coach across all divisions of NCAA volleyball, Dr. Martin became the volleyball head coach at Spring Hill in 2009. She set the record for most wins by a head coach in 2019 with her 1,375
th career victory. During her years with the Badgers, Martin has built a 400-88 overall record and a 214-9 record in regular season conference games. She has led SHC to five-straight NCAA Tournament appearances and SIAC Tournament titles. In the NAIA era, she led the Badgers to four consecutive SSAC West Division crowns and a NAIA National Championship Tournament appearance.

The ceremony will also feature the enshrinement of Jim Murray ('67), Darin Tang ('88), Ernie Felago ('66), Meg Ekins Smith ('96), Cookie Strong ('96), Jason Kuehl ('00), Tim Hilpert ('99), Dr. Thomas Bick ('66) and LaToya Baker ('03).

The Spring Hill College Athletic Hall of Fame has enshrined the best in Badger athletics since 1972. There have been 157 student-athletes and coaches honored in the SHC Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame members include nationally renowned sports figures such as Nick Bollettieri, who founded IMG Academy, and Dr. Ferdie Pacheco, Muhammed Ali's fight doctor.
