MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Spring Hill College softball team fell 6-2 to #1 Auburn Montgomery in the NCAA Championship South Regional opener at the AUM Softball Complex on Thursday.

Meadow Villar and
Taylor Pittman both led the 8-seeded Badgers (29-20, 22-0 SIAC)Â with an RBI apiece. Pittman also doubled in the first game of the NCAA tournament for SHC.
Oscha Carter contributed at the plate after going 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base.

Emily Phillips (6-6) suffered the loss in the circle after conceding six runs on 10 hits over 6.0 innings.
