INDIANAPOLIS – The Spring Hill College softball team will make its second NCAA South Regional appearance in program history after a perfect season in conference play capped off by its second SIAC Championship title, the NCAA Division II Softball Committee announced Monday.

The Badgers (29-19) received the No. 8 seed in the South Regional and will face the pod host and No. 1 seed Auburn Montgomery (AUM) (40-11) on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
Spring Hill is making its second NCAA Regional appearance in program history after winning its second-ever SIAC Championship and first under Head Coach Hanna Lythberg. Before that SHC went undefeated (22-0) in regular-season conference play for the third time in team history.

SIAC All-Conference selections Meadow Villar, Emily Phillips, Emma Curry, Leighanna Turk and Oscha Carter will lead the team into its 26^th meeting with the Warhawks. The last time the teams met was back in February, with AUM taking a 6-1 victory at the Gulf Shores Invitational.

Spring Hill and Auburn Montgomery last faced off against each other in postseason play in the 2013 NAIA Softball Championship, where the Badgers fell 6-3 to the Warhawks in 14 innings.
