INDIANAPOLIS – The Spring Hill College softball team will make its second NCAA South Regional appearance in program history after a perfect season in conference play capped off by its second SIAC Championship title, the NCAA Division II Softball Committee announced Monday.
The Badgers (29-19) received the No. 8 seed in the South Regional and will face the pod host and No. 1 seed Auburn Montgomery (AUM) (40-11) on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

Hanna Lythberg. Before that SHC went undefeated (22-0) in regular-season conference play for the third time in team history.

Emily Phillips,
Emma Curry,
Leighanna Turk and
Oscha Carter will lead the team into its 26
th meeting with the Warhawks. The last time the teams met was back in February, with AUM taking a 6-1 victory at the Gulf Shores Invitational.
Spring Hill and Auburn Montgomery last faced off against each other in postseason play in the 2013 NAIA Softball Championship, where the Badgers fell 6-3 to the Warhawks in 14 innings.
