LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Spring Hill College softball team fell to West Alabama in both games of Wednesday's road doubleheader at the UWA Softball Complex.

The suspended game from March 7 was made up prior to the doubleheader. It picked up with a 3-3 tie in the top of the seventh and went into extra innings. West Alabama (28-14, 12-12 GSC) homered in the top of the ninth and secured its 4-3 victory over Spring Hill (20-18, 19-0 SIAC) to start the day.

McKenzie King led the Badgers in the first game of the doubleheader with a 1-for-3 day on the plate that featured an RBI.
Bailey Cox tripled and
Taylor Pittman batted a double.
Macy Holt led the second game while going 1-for-2 with a home run while
Rycca Hinton doubled.

Emily Phillips (5-5) took the loss in game one of the doubleheader after conceding four runs on three hits with a walk and one strikeout across 6.0 innings.
Leighanna Turk (6-8) suffered the loss in game two after giving up five runs on five hits and two walks in 1.0 inning.

Game One
- B3 | Kelsie Gilliam tripled to center field to score Gaddy Utsey. Taylor Clegg knocked a two-run home run down the left field line, West Alabama, 3-0.
- T4 | Cox scored on an error by Marissa Mitchell, West Alabama 3-1.
- B5 | Gilliam grounded out to score Karley McDaniel, West Alabama 4-1.
- T7 | King singled to score Oscha Carter, West Alabama 4-2.
Game Two
- B1 | Ann Marie Stanbridge hit a three-run homer to left center. Emily Cowart grounded out to score Riley Sullivan. Kori Young singled to score Mary Grace Sheffield, West Alabama 5-0.
- B2 | Sullivan sacrificed to score Taylor Clegg. Cowart singled to left field to score Stanbridge. Young singled to center field to score Sheffield, West Alabama 9-0.
- T3 | Holt belted a home run to left field, West Alabama 9-1.
- B4 | Clegg sacrificed to right field to score Grace Ausborn. Mitchell singled through the left side to score Gilliam and Sara Fargo, West Alabama 12-1.
