They Said It
Head Coach Craig McVey
On the meet
"We had a really great day to race Wednesday. I'm really proud of how both teams competed. We talked about what we needed to have happen to have the team score and place we wanted. Both squads followed and raced that plan to a person."

"We got stung by four points in the women's race and 11 points in the men's race for fifth place in each. We knew there would be a small number of points separating a number of teams and that's what happened."

"Both squads raced really hard. You always want your best team effort of the season at a conference meet and that's what we got. Today, even though we have two very young teams, we didn't compete like we were new on the block in either race."

Looking ahead
"Our NCAA regional meet is now two weeks away. We'll take a look at our team health and get ready from there; we still have some work to do. We're ready to begin taking our program to another place now, everyone gets I and they all sense where we're headed next. Nothing but excitement moving forward. I'm really proud of this group and very happy for them!"
