TAVARES, Fla – The Spring Hill College Sandy Badgers beach volleyball team defeated Florida Southern, 3-0, and Erskine, 3-1, in pool play during day one of the AVCA Small College Beach Championships on Friday.
 
Spring Hill (15-11) started pool play in the championship tournament 2-0 after winning both of its opening matches. Lily Mascari and Jordan Atchison (21-16, 21-14) clinched the match-winning point over Florida Southern on the 5s court. SHC took three out of four finished games in the match with Erskine to move to 2-0 in pool play on day one.
