MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College softball team defeated cross-town rival Mobile 5-4 in extra innings at the UM Softball Field on Wednesday night.

The Badgers took a 2-0 lead over the Rams by the third inning before Mobile answered with a two-run home run in the fifth to tie the game at 2-2.
Alexis Yuratich broke the tie with a RBI single in the sixth inning, but UM answered in the bottom of the seventh to make it 3-3 and send the game into extra innings.
Sophia Nuzzolillo hit a two-RBI single to left center in the top of the eighth, giving the Badgers enough room to cruise to a 5-4 win.

Alexandra Ballester took the win on the mound for SHC while Paityn Desormeuax collected the save. Brinkley Goff took the loss for Mobile.
