ALBERTVILLE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College softball team split results in its first two games at the Charger Chillout on Friday.

The Badgers faced Gulf South Conference (GSC) opponent Shorter (Ga.) to start the day. The Hawks stormed ahead to a 6-0 lead by the fifth inning. Spring Hill fought hard in the bottom of the seventh, scoring all four of its runs. Shorter held on to defeat SHC 6-4.

In their second game of the day, the Badgers shutout Ohio Dominican 8-0. Spring Hill scored half of its runs in the second inning and the other half in the seventh inning.
Sophia Nuzzolillo and
Amanda Glowacki both led the game with two RBIs apiece.
Emma Curry pitched a full game and earned the first win of her career while collecting three strikeouts.
