MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College women's basketball team fell to Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) divisional foe LeMoyne Owen 57-52 at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Saturday evening.
The Badgers trailed the Magicians at halftime 24-14, but closed the gap after the break (31-26). The game came down to the wire in the fourth quarter, with each team scoring six points by the middle of the quarter. At the end of regulation, the score was tied 45-45. LeMoyne-Owen prevailed in overtime and defeated Spring Hill 57-52. SHC fell to 3-13
(2-9 SIAC) while LOC improved to 5-11 (2-8 SIAC).
Scoring was led by
Tyashia Bostick with 18 points, followed by Sierra Lynch of LeMoyne-Owen with 15. Freshman
Jordan Bowden contributed nine of the team's record-setting 10 blocks in the game.

"We didn't come ready to play tonight. We let one that we should have won get away. Â We had some players unavailable to us due to injury but no excuses we still should have won. We as a team just have to get better, we have to get back to work on the basic fundamentals of the game and get ready for Monday."
