Women's golf places fifth at Carey Collegiate
HATTIERBURG, Miss. – The Spring Hill College women's golf team placed fifth out of eight teams at the Carey Collegiate Fall Classic, hosted by William Carey, on Tuesday.
 
Spring Hill held fifth place for the entire tournament and tallied a three-round score of 949 (+85). Mary McDaniels led the Badgers as an individual in ninth place. The finish is the redshirt junior's fourth career top-10 finish and her first of the fall. She shot all three rounds in the 70s (77, 72, 78). Olivia Leinart finished tied for 18th after matching her career-low round score of 76 in the final round. Natalia Michas recorded a 19-over-par three round score of 235 for 20th place overall. Ella Parker finished 23rd with a tournament score of 237. Evie Graves shot a total score of 245 and tied for 24th in her collegiate debut. Madeline Zimmerman placed 31st with a final score of 252.

"The ladies played hard under tough conditions in the 54-hole event at the formidable Canebrake CC in Hattiesburg.MC McDaniel carded a fantastic even par 72 in her second round. She posted three rounds in the 70's with 77, 72 and 78 which was good enough for a top 9 finish. Freshman Evie Graves made her collegiate debut and fired a 78 in round 3. The ladies finished 5th out of 8 teams."
