Spring Hill opens fall slate with top-5 finish at Full Moon Invitational
CALERA, Ala. – The Spring Hill College men's golf team finished fifth out of eight teams at the Montevallo Full Moon Invitational on Tuesday.
 
The Badgers started the tournament in sixth with an 11-over-par 295 in round one. They maintained their spot after they recorded a 9-over-par 293 in the second round. SHC finished with a 20-over-par score of 588, seven shots behind Montevallo and Union, who both shot a 13-over-par 581. Shorter University took home the trophy after shooting a 6-under-par 562 at the tournament. The Hawks also took individual honors with Blake Henriques shooting an 8-under-par tournament score of 134.
 
Rasmus Malmborg led Spring Hill with a 9th place finish shooting 1-over-par 143 after two rounds of play, including a 1-under-par second round (70). Jackson Maniscalco finished in the top-20 with a tournament score of 147, he recorded a career-low round score (71) during the first round. Yannik Wessel shot 6-over-par (148) and placed 22nd. Brayden Seguin shot a 151 tournament score and finished 28th while Hudson Carr shot 156 and finished 39th in his collegiate debut.

Tournament Notes
- Maniscalo careded a career-low round score (71) during the first round.
- Spring Hill finished ahead of the only other Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference school, Miles, at the tournament.
- Carr made his collegiate debut at the event.
