MOBILE, Ala. (May 2, 2022) – The Spring Hill College (SHC) Badgers softball team will open play in the 2022 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Championship Tournament versus the Savannah State University (SSU) Tigers on Thursday, May 5 at noon (eastern) at the Gordon Sports Complex in Albany, Ga.

The Badgers (24-15, 16-3 SIAC) won the only previous meeting of the two programs by a 12-0 score at the 2022 Divisional Crossover in Jasper, Ala. on March 11.

Spring Hill enters the tournament as the 2^nd seed out of the SIAC West Division while SSU (13-16; 8-10 SIAC) is the 3^rd seed from the East Division.

Badger head coach Steve Kittrell will be looking to secure his 100^th collegiate softball career win as he currently stands at with a 99-69 record after five seasons.
