Abigail Remick to its All-Conference Men & Women's Outdoor Track & Field 1
st team on Thursday morning with four other Badger athletes appearing on the 2
nd team roster.
Pempel of Spanish Fort, Ala. specializes in the javelin where he tossed a personal-best mark of 51.14 meters (167' 9") for a fourth place finish at the University of Southern Mississippi Invitational in Hattiesburg on April 1-2.
Redshirt sophomore
John Abate of Orange Park, Fla. was 2
nd team All-Conference in the high jump with a season-high of 1.93 meters (6' 4") for a 2
nd place finish at the University of Montevallo Falcon Classic on March 18-19.
Senior
Jacob Kirby of Semmes, Ala. earned 2
nd team accolades with a season pole vault high of 3.50 meters (11' 5.75") at Mississippi College on March 5.
For the women's team, Remick of Hoover, Ala. appeared on the 1
st team list by notching a 2.60 meter (8' 6.25") mark in the pole vault at Mississippi College on March 5.
Mary Elizabeth Shelton, a redshirt junior from Jacksonville, Ala., won two 2
nd team All-Conference spots for her 5:13.53 time in the 1500-meter run set on April 1-2 at the Southern Miss Invitational as well as her 18:55.09 time in the 5000-meter run set on March 18-19 at the Falcon Invitational.
Sophomore
Claire Morgan out of Baker High School in Mobile, Ala. was a 2
nd team member in the 3000-meter Steeplechase with a mark of 12:45.02 set at the Falcon Classic.
