They Said It - Head Coach Craig Kennedy
On the game
"This was like one of the Gatti-Ward fights. It was blow for blow and oftentimes not pretty. We like to play a beautiful game and the Tigers did a good job taking that away from us. We shot ourselves in the foot at times turning the ball over. Coach Broadnax's team are the defending conference champions, and they remain that way until someone else wins that in March. Tim Reilly had a tremendous game for us. Beril [Kabamba] was a workhorse like he always is - but we have to learn to play every game like we were backed into a corner. That is how Savannah State played. Overall, we have one of the best fall semester records for a Spring Hill team in about 15 years. This is a great group of guys who will just keep getting better and better."
