MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College men's basketball team fell at home, 94-85, to Fort Valley State at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Saturday night.

There were only four lead changes between the Badgers and Wildcats during the game. Spring Hill generated 36 points in the paint and 17 points off turnovers. FVSU led SHC at the half 42-37 and held on to the end, winning 94-85.

The game was led by
Beril Kabamba, who tallied 28 points, six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal.
Eli Lenihan recorded a career-high nine points, five free throws (5-5) and matched his career-high five assists during the game.
Tana Kopa had a career-high five three-pointers made. On Fort Valley's end, Myson Lowe led with 27 points, eight assists, three rebounds and a steal.

Spring Hill falls to 2-4 and 0-2 in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play while Fort Valley State improves to 3-4 and remains undefeated in conference play (2-0).

"This was a hard-fought contest. Fort Valley [State] played a heck of a game and made some incredible shots. Rarely do you see it when both teams shoot 88 percent from the free-throw line. We had to sit Beril [Kabamba] early in the first [half] when he picked up two fouls, and Bo [Barber] was not able to start today. For playing all freshmen or sophomores we are just going to learn and grow from this."
