MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College women's basketball team will open Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play against Albany State at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Saturday.
The Badgers are 1-4 after completing their first non-conference slate of the season while the Golden Rams are 2-2. SHC leads ASU 6-3 in the all-time series but lost the last meeting 67-57 at the Outlaw Center last year.
The young talent has stepped up so far this year for Spring Hill. Freshman guard Iamunique Bowie leads the team in points (105), field goals (32), three-pointers (17), free throws (24), and rebounds (39). The Mobile, Ala., native was also named the SIAC Player of the Week on Tuesday.
