Badger Cross Country takes third at Fall Festival
CLINTON, Miss. – The Spring Hill women's cross country team took third place at the Mississippi College XC Fall Festival at the Choctaw Trails on Saturday.
 
The Lady Badgers placed third in the 5k race with 94 points in a field of five teams scored and ran an average time of 22:21. Madeline Knightly paced Spring Hill and finished 12th overall with a season-best time of 20:28.2. Claire Morgan (21:28.5) placed 26th and clocked a season best with Cat Dulle (21:38.8) right behind her in 27th, also clocking a season-best time. Jordan Jernigan finished 37th and stopped the clock at 23:40.5, a new personal record. Cassidy Dilks was the 40th individual to cross the finish line at 24:34.

"We had another great day to race weather-wise for Saturday's races. 55 degrees at race time for the men and
61 for the women [with] light wind. We've been fortunate to have had the weather we have had for our last three meets. Both teams did a great job using what we learned from being here in September.  We had a number of people with personal bests and others really close to theirs."
