BESSEMER, Ala. (September 13, 2021) – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's golf team opened the 2021-22 season on Thursday with a 4-stroke victory over the University of Montevallo Falcons at Bent Brook Golf Club on Thursday to secure title to the 2021 Bent Brook Cup.
 
As a team, the Badgers shot a 10-over score of 298 across the par-72, 7222-yard course to nip the hosting Falcons who carded a 14-over score of 302.
 
Alex Heib, Rasmus Malmborg, and Jackson Maniscalco all tied for 2^nd place out of 22 golfers with a +2 score of 74 while Pete Schilli and Brayden Seguin tied at 6^th place with scores of +4 in 76 strokes.
 
Chris Brignet tied at 14^th place in 79 strokes for a +7, Philip Pazos was +8 in 16^th place with 80 strokes and Jenson Finn was tied at 17^th with 81 strokes for +9. Yannik Wessel came in at 19^th position in 82 strokes for a +10 while Collin Darby rounded out the day in 22^nd place with a +17 score of 89.
 
SHC next plays on Monday and Tuesday, September 13-14, 2021 at the Full Moon Invitational at Timberline Golf Club in Calera, Ala.
