Averi prepped at Dutchtown High School in Louisiana and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in English. 

She has been a member of the SHC women's bowling team for 4 years. This season, Averi placed 8th out of 39 bowlers at the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Circuit Tournament.
