DALLAS, Texas – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's bowling team finished the 2020-21 season with an 8th place finish out of 16 teams participating in the Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC) Sectional Qualifier at USA Bowl on Saturday and Sunday.

The Badgers racked up a score of 7209 over 40 games on Sunday to finish 747 pins behind team champion Midland University (Neb.).

"Even though we were out classed this time, all eight athletes did their best," said SHC Head Coach Ben Hoefs. "This postseason was the first sectional for all eight of our bowlers, but they finished the last set of four games with their highest total. They never gave up."

During Saturday's six individual qualifying games, Beau Reed scored 1041 to finish tied 77th out of 145 competitors and Joshua Wilson finished 90th with a score of 1024. Cody Schaffer was tied at 92nd with a scorecard of 1017, Brandon Bonvillain was 98th at 1009, and Chase Essary was 106th with 991 pins.
