VICKSBURG, Miss. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team swept to two victories over NCAA Division I programs on Saturday afternoon at Sports Force Park by shutting out the Jackson State University (JSU) Tigers 3-0 and following it up with a 5-0 win over the Braves of Alcorn State University (ASU).
SHC starter
Hannah Brenton (3-1) went the distance versus JSU, holding the Tigers (2-5) to two hits with a walk and two strikeouts.

Paityn Desormeaux got things started with an RBI-double to left in the 5
th inning that was followed by a run-scoring single from 2
nd baseman
Madison Koger. Koger added a 3
rd run in the top of the 7
th with an RBI single to score right fielder
Carlisle Jamison.
Freshman
Olivia Indorf (3-1) took home the shutout victory in the nightcap versus the Braves (1-4) with six hits and no walks allowed while striking out five batters.
Delaney Thomas at 3
rd base delivered a double as did right fielder
Lanae Davis and designated player
Morgan Kramer who had a 2-run shot down the left field line in the 6
th inning.
The Badgers (6-4) next visit the University of Mobile Lady Rams (3-4) in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
