Bears beat Badgers, 65-51
FAIRFIELD, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team underwent a 65-51 loss to the Miles Golden Bears on Wednesday evening at Knox-Windham Gymnasium.
 
The Golden Bears (6-1) had doubled up the Badgers 38-19 by the intermission and maintained a double-digit lead throughout the second period.
 
SHC freshmen guards Jaden Gray and Sam Davidson scored 12 points each while sophomore forward Beril Kabamba collected 12 rebounds. The Badgers shot 32.1% (18-56) from the field, including 33.3% (5-15) from 3-point range while making 58.8% (10-17) of their free throws.
 
For Miles, Jelani Watson-Gayle scored a game-high 23 points and Anthony Latty pulled in 12 rebounds. The Bears shot 41.3% (26-63) overall, including 42.1% (8-19) from 3-point distance. Miles was just 38.5% (5-13) on their free throw attempts, but out-rebounded the Badgers by a 47-39 margin.
 
The Badgers (1-5) will travel to Tuskegee, Ala. this weekend to face the Golden Tigers (4-4) of Tuskegee University on Saturday and Sunday at the Chappie Center in a 2 p.m. tip off both days.
