Privateers raid Badgers, 79-41

NEW ORLEANS, La. (November 13, 2021) – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team closed the exhibition portion of its 2021-22 season with a 79-41 loss to the NCAA Division I University of New Orleans (UNO) Privateers on Saturday afternoon at Lakefront Arena.

The Privateers (1-1) jumped out to healthy 30-10 lead with six minutes left in the first half and held a 45-15 advantage heading into halftime.

Forward David Daniels scored 12 points and forward Beril Kabamba added 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Badgers shot 28.1% (16-57) from the field and missed all 21 of their 3-point shot attempts. UNO out-rebounded SHC 52-38.

The Privateers shot 43.8% (32-73) including 17.6% (3-17) from 3-point distance. SHC lost 20 turnovers to 11 steals by UNO that resulted in 17 points off turnovers for the home team.

The Badgers will open their regular season at home on Tuesday night versus Jesuit rivals the Loyola University (La.) Wolf Pack (4-0) at 7 p.m. in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
