Valentine earns SIAC All-Conference selection
ATLANTA, Ga. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) named Spring Hill College (SHC) senior forward Tiffany Valentine as a 1st team member of its 2020 Women's Basketball All-Conference team as announced by the conference office on Sunday afternoon.
 
This selection marks the third consecutive season Valentine has been named to the SIAC All-Conference 1st team, earning the accolades previously in 2018 and 2019. As a sophomore in 2018, she was also chosen as the SIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year.
 
The 6-foot, 1-inch native of Houston, Texas, averaged 17.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game this season while adding 21 assists, 19 blocked shots and eight assists. She shot 59.5% (173-291) from the field and 80.6% (137-170) at the free throw line.
 
For her career, Valentine scored 1,678 points with 756 rebounds while shooting 52% (598-1149) from the floor. She currently stands in 2nd place on the SHC women's career scoring list behind only Donmeka Martin who scored 2,128 points between 1994 and 1998.
 
The SIAC West Division 4th seeded Badgers (11-17) will face the East Division 5th seeded Paine College Lions (7-17) in the Opening Round of the 2020 SIAC Championship Tournament on Monday at 1:15 p.m. on Monday in the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
