PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – The Spring Hill men's tennis team put together a spirited effort but fell short in the SIAC Championship match losing to Benedict College by a score of 4-2. The loss dropped to SHC to 16-11 on the year and is the first loss of the season against a SIAC program after a 12-0 regular season run through the conference and 1-1 mark in the tournament.Â
Spring Hill's points came from singles wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 slots.
Cedric Nitz was a 6-1, 7-5 winner at No. 1 while teammate
Ulf Grosseloh blanked his opponent, 6-0, 6-0.
The Badgers other win came at the No. 1 doubles as Nitz /
Kurt Shiell were 6-2 winners.

Nitz and Grossaloh were named to the All-Tournament Team in singles action, while Nitz and Shiell were an All-Tournament doubles selection.Â
