PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – Spring Hill's moved to within one match of winning the 2019 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Championships with a 5-0 blanking of Tuskegee University in the semifinals Monday at Peachtree City Tennis Center.
The Badgers (16-9) advance to the conference championship Tuesday at 3 p.m. against a defending champion Benedict College.
Against Tuskegee, Spring Hill collected the team point in doubles by winning two of the three matches. Spring Hill's

Kurt Shiell's match was halted at 3-3.
The Badgers won all four of the completed singles while two matches – the No. 1 singles by Nitz and the No. 2 singles by Grosseloh were halted. Demel won at the No. 3 by scores of 6-0, 6-0, Mimes was 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 4 while Shiel was 6-0, 6-1 winner at No. 5. Behrendt finished off his opponent at the No. 6 spot, 6-0, 6-0.
