Badgers Drop Regular Season Finale to Mobile
MOBILE, Ala.  – The Spring Hill men's tennis team ended its regular-season with a 4-0 blanking by crosstown rival University of Mobile on Friday. Three singles matches were halted after the match was clinched.

The Badgers, now 15-8 on the year, will play again Monday when they begin the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Tournament at the Peachtree Tennis Center in Peachtree City, Ga.

Mobile collected the team point in doubles by winning two-of-the-three matches. Spring Hill's Ulf Grosseloh and Chris Mines were the only doubles winners beating their opponent, 6-1. Cedric Nitz / Kurt Shiell and Til Beherendt / Alex Demel were beaten by scores of 6-4 and 6-1 respectively.

The Rams won at the three, four and five singles. Boris Klingebiel beat Demel, 6-3, 7-6 at the No. 3 singles. Guido Evangelista was a 6-4, 6-1 winner of Spring Hill's Chris Mines at the No. 4 slot. The final point was awarded to Mobile with Luca Cirenza's 6-1, 6-0 victory over Ferdinand Amanor .

The singles matches that were halted were Nitz at the No. 1, Grosseloh at No. 2, and Kurt Shiell at No. 6.
