MOBILE, Ala. - Spring Hill College split its four matches Friday at the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Roundup at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center, falling to Tuskegee and Clark Atlanta before taking a pair of matches from Lane College.
Macinley Chastain provided the Badgers with their lone point in the 4-1 loss to Tuskegee, beating Kori Qullin, 6-1, 6-4 in the No. 6 singles match.
After a 4-0 setback at the hands of Clark Atlanta, Spring Hill knocked off Lane by scores of 5-0 and 4-0 to salvage a split for the day.
Jamie Martin, Mary Grace Sullivan, Chastain, Omega Davison, Alexandria Rayford, Lindsey Nguyen, Madison Artigues and Mary Roane all won at least won match for the Badgers during the pair of victories, which had multiple matches halted when Spring Hill had clinched the wins.
Spring Hill continues play at the SIAC Roundup on Saturday, facing Benedict and Clark Atlanta at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center.
