MOBILE, Ala. – The Badgers women's tennis team fell to visiting Arkansas Tech 7-0 on Tuesday.
The Golden Suns swept doubles play, getting a 6-2 win from Annabel Rowlands and Kami Ward over the Badgers'
Jamie Martin and
Mary Grace Sullivan.
Katharina Drebka and Megan Bell defeated
Madison Artigues and
Mary Roane 6-0, while Daniela Baez and Teresa Sanchez knocked off the pair of
Rebecca Pearlman and
Macinley Chastain 6-0.
In singles play, Martin fell to Drebka 6-3, 6-0 and Sullivan lost to Sanchez 6-1, 6-0.
Artiguez fell to Ward 6-0, 6-1, Roane lost to Katie Harris 6-2, 6-3 while Pearlman dropped her match to Rowlands 6-0, 6-0.
Chastain fell to Baez 6-0, 6-0.
The loss puts the Badgers' record at 2-8 on the year and is the third straight defeat for the squad.
The team will return to the court tomorrow in a SIAC match against visiting Albany State.
