MOBILE, Ala. -  Six Spring Hill College men's track and field athletes combined for eight Top 10 finishes on Friday, March 15 at the University of South Alabama Jaguar Open.

David Toups posted the Badgers' highest finish, placing fourth in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:08.20. Eric Butler followed two positions back in 4:10.35. The pair also finished in the Top 10 in the 800-meter run with Toups taking fifth in a time of 1:59.53, Butler (2:03.76) was eighth and Conner Moore (2:03.71) was seventh.

Brian Pempel also recorded a Top 5 finish with a javelin throw of 45.65 meters. Ryan Slaymaker was 10th in the javelin with a distance of 27.15 meters and Griffin Holland was 10th in the shot put at 10.15 meters.

Overall, 14 Badgers recorded a time or mark in eight races and two field events.

Spring Hill will return to action March 22-23 at the University of Montevallo Falcon Classic.
