MOBILE, Ala - It was a tight battle through three quarters, but a furious rally by the Miles College Golden Bears in the game's final frame handed the Spring Hill College Badgers women's basketball team a tough conference loss, 57-51.

The loss drops Spring Hill to 10-13 overall and 6-8 in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play. Miles improved to 13-8 and 7-7 in league play.

The teams fought evenly in the first quarter with neither team allowing the other to maintain momentum.

The second quarter was more of the same. Miles again led by four points behind a Raiana Johnson layup with 3:35 remaining in the first half, but Spring Hill put together a 6-3 run that was closed out on a buzzer-beater from Katie Krout to send the Badgers to the locker room holding a 26-25 lead.
