Allison Named SIAC Player of the Week
ATLANTA, Ga. – Spring Hill College freshman Justin Allison was named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Feb. 5.

Allison, a 6-foot point guard from Pelham, Alabama (Pelham HS), averaged 25.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists during the week while shooting 47.9 percent (23-for-48) from the floor and 37 percent (10-for-27) from 3-point range. Allison totaled 77 points, 17 rebounds, eight assists, three steals and one blocked shot during three games Jan. 28 – Feb. 3.

The highlight of Allison's week was broadcast live on ESPN3 as part of the NCAA Division II Showcase on Saturday, Feb. 2. Allison shot 60 percent (9-for-15) from the floor to hang a career-high 35 points on Central State University in a 97-79 win. He added eight rebounds, four assists and a blocked shot in the win. His 14-of-18 free throws made in the win are also career highs.

Earlier in the week, he scored 18 points on the road against Miles College and 24 points at home against Lane College.

Since scoring 30 points on Jan. 7 against Fort Valley State University, Allison has scored in double digits nine-straight games and raised his scoring average to 14.4 points per game.

Also receiving weekly honors this week is Albany State University's Tyrell Williams, who was named the SIAC Newcomer of the Week.

Spring Hill College (7-16, 3-11 SIAC) will play its final home game of the season Feb. 7 against Miles College before playing three games in 10 days on the road to close the regular season.
