PLEASANT GROVE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team suffered an 11-4 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) road loss to the Miles College Golden Bears on Tuesday evening.
After trailing the Golden Bears (9-24, 9-2 SIAC West) 5-0 nothing after two innings, the Badgers rallied back to cut the deficit down to 5-4 off a 2-run double by right fielder

rd inning. SHC would get no closer, however, as the Bears added a three runs off two hits in the 4
th frame.
Hannah Brenton (12-5) took the complete-game loss for SHC with 10 hits, three walks and four strikeouts. Kendruena McPherson (6-9) earned the win with eight hits, two walks and five strikeouts. Authement and first baseman
Randi DeArmitt each had a pair of hits for Spring Hill while McPherson added three hits and three RBIs to her day's totals.
The Badgers (18-13, 13-1 SIAC West) will remain in Pleasant Grove overnight to finish this three-game series in a doubleheader with the Golden Bears on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
